Montmartre is a hill (the butte Montmartre) which is 130 meters high, giving its name to the surrounding district, in the north of Paris in the 18th arrondissement, a part of the Right Bank. Montmartre is primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit.
Place de la Bastille (4th, 11th and 12th arrondissements, right bank) is a district of great historical significance, not only for Paris, but for France, too. Itis a square in Paris, where the Bastille prison stood until the 'Storming of the Bastille' and its subsequent physical destruction between July 14, 1789 and July 14, 1790 during the French Revolution; no vestige of it remains.
The Cirque Medrano (in English: Circus Medrano) is a French circus, that was located at 63 Boulevard Rochechouart, at the corner of rue des Martyrs, on the edge of Montmartre in Paris. It was originally called Cirque Fernando.
Champs-Élysées (8th arrondissement, right bank) is a seventeenth century garden-promenade-turned-avenue connecting the Concorde and Arc de Triomphe. The Champs-Elysées were originally fields and market gardens, until 1616, when Marie de Medici decided to extend the garden axis of the Palais des Tuileries with an avenue of trees.
Les Halles is an area of Paris, France, located in the 1er arrondissement. It is named for the large central wholesale marketplace. It is the main marketplace in Paris, and is frequently busy with customers.
The Palais Garnier was designed as part of the great Parisian reconstruction of the Second Empire initiated by Emperor Napoleon III, who chose the Baron Haussmann to supervise the reconstruction. In 1858 the Emperor authorized Haussmann to clear the required 12,000 square metres of land on which to build a second theatre for the world renowned Parisian Opera and Ballet companies.
The dance hall in which the Moulin Rouge dancers occupy, they're usually found entertaining their guests and dancing the night away. The dancing hall is large size and is equipped to hold large crowds.
The cubicles are mostly known for the paying customers are situated around the dance hall, so that the dancers may join them in the stalls. They are sometimes filled with refreshments for the more rich.
The dressing rooms is where the Moulin Rouge dancers often get ready to join in on the dance floor. Some are found gossiping. Generally no one is allowed back there except for a select few.
This is obviously where people are allowed to sleep, preferably the benefactors of the establishment. Though some of the more prominent dancers room here.
The garden holds a mock elephant and a den can be accessed for some of those in need of company. The garden is generally less used but has a nice scenery of Paris.
